Our next One 2 One will give participants all the information you need to successfully fund your artistic proposals. This session is happening before the upcoming artsnb creation grant deadlines.
Bring your questions about grant writing and grant applications to this 20-minute one-on-one consultation with professional grant writer, Kathleen Buckley. Here are some possible topics for your session with Katie:

Kathleen (Katie) Buckley is an arts administrator and writer from Saint John, New Brunswick. She recently served as Executive Director of Third Space Gallery and is a founding director of the Atlantic Art at Night Festivals Alliance (AANFA).
Over the last three years, she has provided grant writing support to non-profit organizations and artists of all career levels applying to a variety of public arts funders including Canada Council for the Arts, Heritage Canada, Music-Musique NB, artsnb, Arts Nova Scotia, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation, and more.
Kathleen’s writing has also appeared in Visual Arts News, CreatedHere Magazine, and Predella: Journal of Visual Arts. Kathleen is now self-employed as a professional grant writer.

Sessions will be designed to support research, development, creation, and production of work for artists.

The Annual Public Meeting (APM) of the Canada Council for the Arts will take place on January 24, 2023.

The APM will be accessible for live in-person and remote participation in English, French, ASL, and LSQ.
How to participate 
This year, you have the option to attend in person at the Canada Council’s offices in the Kakaekwewin meeting room, or via livestream. At the APM, we will review the past year’s accomplishments, describe our priorities for the future, and respond to your questions and comments.
We encourage you to register early and join the 2023 APM conversation using #CanadaCouncil23.

Information Session and Q&A with Canada Council for the Arts
AUGUST 3, 2022, 12 PM (AST), registrations are required.
The Canada Council for the Arts (CCA) is Canada’s public arts funder. The Canada Council contributes to the vibrancy of a creative and diverse arts and literary scene through grants, services, prizes and payments to Canadian artists and arts organizations.  Â
Join us on Wednesday, August 3 from 12-1 pm to learn how to put together a grant application for the Canada Council for the Arts. Pablo Diconca, a Program Officer from the Canada Council’s Explore and Create program will walk you through how to create an artist profile on the Council’s portal, what types of grants are available, what to expect through the application process, and how to put your best foot forward.Â
