Adopt a Music Program! Students of Petitcodiac Regional School have been working hard this year creating artwork for a 20 by 8 foot mural, writing, performing as well as recording a 15 song CD of original music, titled Distantly Close. Visual Artist Fred Harrison, Multi-Award winning Singer Songwriter Keith Mullins, Singer Songwriter Christian Kit Goguen (Cirque du Soleil) and Music Teacher/ Producer Christopher Mersereau have been mentoring students throughout this process. Doctor Mother Father’s New Video Doctor Mother Father release a new video for the track “You Are What You Are”, along with news of Vinyl this summer. The project released the album Catholic in July of 2020. Due to the world being put on pause, the project remained a recording project, and was only an album available digitally on Bandcamp and streaming services. David Myles’ That Tall Distance David Myles shares the sophisticated, surfy “Bird Song,” ahead of his new album That Tall Distance (out 08/27). “This is an expression of my love for instrumental jazz, funk and soul,” said David Myles (he/him), of debut single, Bird Song. “As a young trumpet player I loved stuff like Donald Byrd, Grant Green, Herbie Hancock and Freddie Hubbard. […] Like those great recordings, I wanted to write songs that were strong enough to be able to hold everything together, but loose enough for there to be lots of room for the other players to really dig in and express themselves.
