Paddlefest Music & Nature Festival

The Paddlefest Music and Nature Festival will be happening in St. Andrews By-the-Sea May 15th – 18th, 2025. The festival is an annual celebration of culture and nature with 4 full days of music, art, outdoor activities and environmental events.

ArtsLink NB is pleased to introduce the resident artists for Introspect: a residency by the sea this April 26 to May 9 at the Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts (KIRA)! There will be an open studio day at Kingsbrae International Residency for the Arts in St. Andrews on Saturday, May 2, 2025 from
1 pm – 4 pm.

On behalf of the membership of ArtsLink NB, we were very pleased to see that the new budget for 2025-26, “Driving Change, Delivering Progress,” increased funding for the arts and culture sector by $2.65 million. Our associate director Amy Ash was on CBC NB's Information Morning - Saint John, on March 13th to discuss the outcome of a meeting with city staff on the future protection of public art. Our executive director Julie Whitenect was also in attendance.

As a provincial entity, ArtsLink NB acknowledges that it carries out its work on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi'kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati Peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which these nations first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources, but in fact, recognized Mi'kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
