Art Show & Sale on the Boardwalk
Fri. Aug. 12 – 3-8pm

This is the event of the summer for the Gallery. We look forward all year long to seeing the Boardwalk turned into a street market featuring the works of local artists and artisans. As you browse the Show & Sale, you are invited to join in the fun creating chalk art on the Boardwalk. You can create for fun or compete for great prizes generously donated by local businesses and individuals. There will be food vendors and entertainers performing by the River Art Centre & Studios.

This year we are very excited to welcome artist, Franz Spohn, who will be creating one of his trademark giant gumball murals in the River Art Studios during the event. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the creation of the mural. Each participant will be given a clear tube along with instructions on which gumballs need to be inserted into the tube and in which order. Once the participant is finished, the tube is handed to Franz who slides the gumballs in place to eventually recreate Boy, Dog and St. John River ,1958, by Alex Colville.

Our rain plan is to move the Show & Sale indoors to the River Art Studios and Andrew & Laura McCain Art Gallery. Interested vendors can book their table by emailing tatiana@mccainartgallery.com or calling 506-392-6769. Food vendors and entertainers are also welcome!
