piú Presents: Scions x Pallmer at Wilmot United Church
Saturday, Nov. 23, 7:30pm, Wilmot United Church
Tickets: $18 in advance | $20 at the door

più is a new concert series dedicated to music that defies genre.  più is a musical term that translates to “more,” and this is the core of the series: to encourage the creation and presentation of performances that we’d like to see more of. Ambient, experimental, sound art and contemporary classical music –  più is dedicated to fostering an appreciation and audience for these artforms via presentation, community building, and creation facilitation.

To soft launch the series, we’re pleased to be presenting Nova Scotia / Ontario supergroup, Scions on November 23rd at Wilmot United Church at 7:30PM. The evening will begin with an opening set by Fredericton’s Pallmer.

If you love immersive and expansive masterpieces, this concert is for you.  The concert begins with the second string quartet of Johannes Brahms, which is an A-minor feat of musical transcendence.  The second piece in the program is Benjamin Britten’s second string quartet: a meditative, intricate, and brazen musical journey.
