UNB Summer Band Camp: Registration Is Now Open! ๐ŸŽป

Since the 1990s, UNB Summer Band Camp has provided exceptional instruction to young musicians. Band Camp 2025 will be open to brass, woodwind, and percussion players. Campers will have access to ensemble experiences, musicals, and other fun electives, and will give a final performance. Beyond music, campers will also make lifelong friendships in a fun and supportive environment!

Ages 11 โ€“ 16 | Grades 6 โ€“ 10

Date: July 7 โ€“ 11, 2025

Location: UNB Memorial Hall, 9 Bailey Dr, Fredericton, NB E3B 5A3

Registration deadline: Friday before the camp start date

The Slow Word Uncurls: A Tribute to Joe Blades โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ“™

Joe Blades brought his passion for poetry with him everywhere, much like the journals that were his constant companion. Joe was a poet, a publisher, an artist, and champion of the literary arts. He passed away April 22nd, 2020, at age 58, leaving behind a wealth of written and artistic contributions that span 40 years of hard work and reflect a tenacious dedication to art making and promotion.

Please join Joeโ€™s friends, colleagues, and family as we pay tribute to his life and work. A special thanks to UNB Libraries, UNB Arts Centre, and the City of Fredericton for their generous support of these events.

Memorial Reading: UNB, Harriet Irving Library, Event Space (rm 318), 7:00PM โ€“ 9:00PM Friday, October 21st, 2022. Refreshments, and gifts of Joeโ€™s work will be provided. Please consult UNBโ€™s masking policy.
