🌈Come out on Saturday afternoon, rain or shine, for a fun afternoon of poetry and music with Rae Spoon, in collaboration with Femmes Against Empire and a lineup of local queer artists!
 
This event takes place in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Peskotomuhkati, Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq People.
 
🚪Doors: 2 PM, 🎤Show: 2:30 PM sharp!
Cover $10 to 20 sliding scale. No one turned away for lack of funds.
No advance tickets. Cash and square payments at the door.
 
🎤Lineup:
2:30 PM: Kasane Baxter (@tide_washed_beloved on Instagram), local poet.
3 PM: Tea 4 Three, songwriters of many genres. (@tea4threeband on Instagram)
4 PM: Sade Paige, local indie, folk pop artist. (@sadepaigemusic on Instagram)

Accessibility notes:
Please don’t wear strong scents.
The washrooms at the market are accessible and the closest accessible washroom will be a single stall in Uncorked’s space.
The event is outdoors on even paved ground with no steps.
 
☔If it rains we’ll move into the atrium with the following COVID harm reduction measures:
Masking required (respirator masks recommended).
Negative COVID self-test encouraged before event.
We will have a HEPA filter on stage (5000 sq ft strength)
CO2 metre readings monitored and available.

Rae Spoon will donate 5% of the proceeds after costs from all events on their maritime tour to Crips for eSims for Gaza.

Pillow Fite With Queer and Trans Youth Showcase 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Join alt-pop Halifax duo Pillow Fite and Chroma as we celebrate trans love, life and music at Haven Music Hall! The night will showcase local queer and trans youth musicians and a drag performer. This is an all ages event. See you April 26th, Saint John!

Big Gay Cabaret 🏳️‍🌈🐔

Solo Chicken Productions in partnership with Charlotte Street Arts Centre invite you to join us for an evening of delightful performances by some of Fredericton’s most creative queer artists. Poetry, burlesque, drag, dance, improv and more! Let’s come together to celebrate queerness, resist hate and kick off 2024 with a powerful message of love and community.

The evening will be hosted by none other than Heather Silk, featuring performances by Sophie Brander, Jean-Michel Cliche, Shane Clark, Evie Fade, Shelby Harnish, Maury Hansen, Sydney Hallett, Olivier Hébert, Kaylee MacNeil, Jena McLean, Chan Polchies, Ruby Ram, Alex Rioux, Emmanuelle Sabina and with VERY special guest, Gail Costello from Equality NB.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Equality NB, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting equality & working to improve the lives of marginalized folks in New Brunswick with a current focus on Policy 713.

Cassandra is a Saint John born artist who uses art to reconnect with themself, and to help better identify a sense of culture in this crazy world. They strive to create a fundamental outlet for those who believe that art and creating is for the select few- helping break narratives that anyone can create- and being that helpful guide that can bring them to the happiness that comes with celebrating a creative outlet and lifestyle.

All ages and experience invited and welcome! Teens are welcome to come on their own, but children must bring an adult.
