The goal of this survey is to investigate affordability and working conditions in the careers of artists and other cultural workers, especially issues that are not covered by census data or other statistical sources.
The survey design is more qualitative than quantitative, although, in the end, I will be counting the number of people who choose specific responses.
The survey covers issues that I get asked all the time by artists, association leaders, funders, and other cultural workers. Your responses will help us understand the similarities and differences regarding affordability and working conditions among artists and cultural workers. Please continue!
The survey has a unique format, where I’m trying to share information with you, in addition to receiving information about you. I’m calling it a “call and response” survey, inspired by the long history of call and response formats in the arts.
