Join Katie Buckley for a grant writing workshop series focused on Canada Council for the Arts grants!
Katie has helped non-profit organizations of all kinds (with a focus on those serving 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities) as well as artists of all career levels including visual artists, musicians, industry professionals, dance artists, filmmakers, artist-run centres, dance companies, art-at-night festivals, access over $2 Million in funding since 2019.
This workshop will focus on Explore and Create – Concept to Realization and will be helpful for artists of any career level, working with any medium (music, visual art, theatre, etc)
Topics that will be discussed:
- The differences between the Explore and Create programs
- My approach to answering each of the questions in the Concept to Realization application
- General grant writing tips
- My advice for budgets (with examples)
- A non-recorded Q&A where you can ask questions about how your project could be a good fit for a Research & Creation grant!
The session will be recorded for all participants who can’t join live. The recording will be available for viewing for two weeks after the session.
