The Charlotte Street Arts Centre is now taking applications for their 2024 exhibitions lineup.

Call for Visual Artists

The Charlotte St. Arts Centre is looking for visual artists to showcase within their gallery spaces throughout the upcoming year. The Charlotte Glencross Gallery and the Penny Gallery are both hallmarks of 732 Charlotte Street and are ready to host both established professional artists and up and coming artists.

The two galleries have displayed twelve separate exhibits over the course of the last year. From the ‘Black Woman Series’ by Jola Adeniji, to the City of Fredericton Artists in Residence Exhibit, to even a collection of works from up-and-coming artists attending high schools in our province; these galleries have hosted a wide array of artists and styles over the last twelve months. Charlotte St. Arts Centre is greatly looking forward to another varied lineup for the upcoming year and are looking to find artists seeking to display their works to the public.

This opportunity is not strictly restricted to painters. They are hoping to hear from visual artists of all types; installation works, projection works, jewelry pieces, and textiles are all mediums that may be displayed in these galleries. Anything that can be displayed on a wall or a plinth is welcome.

Whether you are a high school photographer who has never exhibited in a gallery before or a professional ceramics artist who has shown works across the country; the Charlotte St. Arts Centre would like to hear from you.

All applications are reviewed by an Exhibition Committee that judges applications on the basis of artistic merit and community impact. Applications are accepted all throughout the year and are evaluated periodically.
