UPDATED DEADLINE
The Town of Sackville invites professional artists to design, develop, create and deliver a permanent public art installation in order to convey a message of awareness of climate change. These can include social, physical, and immediate or long-term concerns and themes relating to climate change.
The Town would like the artist to focus attention on the characteristic location of Sackville with respect to these issues. However, as climate change is a global phenomenon, the Town also welcomes artists to propose other ideas that situate Sackville within the climate change context while using a global lens.
In addition to the relevance to the Town’s mission, artwork must satisfy reasonable standards of permanence and safety, meeting all relevant codes required for public places, and offering reasonable proof of soundness against theft, vandalism or excessive maintenance and repair.
