CALL FOR ARTISTIC PROJECTS FOR EXHIBITION
in the Gallery of the Dieppe Arts & Culture Center

The DACC invites professional artists and curators to submit their artistic project for
exhibition in the Gallery 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
The Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre (DACC), open to the public since September 2010, is a key
artistic and cultural institution in the City of Dieppe. It is a gathering place whose mission is to
strengthen the cultural identity of youth and the surrounding community by encouraging
creativity and participation in artistic and cultural activities.
The DACC Gallery presents to the public, in a judiciously designed space (see attached map),
exhibitions of high artistic quality. This showcase contributes to the development of the artists
received and, by the same token, provides the community with opportunities for discovery and
varied experiences in the visual arts. The artistic productions proposed must be nourished by
research and theoretical questioning. All disciplines in the visual and plastic arts are eligible and
considered.
APPLICATIONS MUST INCLUDE
β Description of the exhibition project (400 words maximum);
β Artistic approach (400 words maximum);
β Curriculum vitae (3 pages maximum);
β Short biography (maximum 300 words);
β Website address or link to artist’s social media page;
β Maximum of 20 images of the works, following the nomenclature template
(Name_Firstname_Number);
β Audio/video material up to 5 minutes may be included
β Detailed list of images or videos with very short descriptions (containing name, year of
production, medium, format – height X width X depth).

β TEXT: PDF or WORD
β Please DO NOT submit files in MAC page format, with a .zip extension, as a web archive, or
that require special software to be viewed.
β IMAGE: JPG, maximum image size: 1600 X 1600 pixels, maximum file size: 4 MB
β AUDIO: MP3
β VIDEO: format viewable on VLC Player or Windows Media Player

PLEASE NOTE
β It is possible to use a third-party site or application such as Google Drive or WeTransfer to
transmit the files and associated files as long as the link (and password, if required) is
functional and clearly indicated in your application.
β Instructions for viewing or listening to the audio and video files must be provided. If these
instructions are not provided, the jury will view or listen to the first example or the first 5
minutes of the audio/video material.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS
Applications must be sent by Friday 25 February 2022 at the latest, in digital format,
by email to the attention of Sophie Doucette at directionartistique@centredesartsdieppe.ca
The outcome of the file evaluation will be announced in spring 2022.
The first exhibition will start in August 2022 for a duration of 3 months.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
β Submissions may be made in English or French;
β Applications will be evaluated by a jury of peers and only selected artists will be contacted
in writing;
β The 2022-2024 program extends over a period of twenty-four months;
β The targeted duration of each exhibition is 3 months;
β Remuneration is provided according to the current CARFAC rates;
β Only the proposed project will be exhibited. No changes to the exhibition project will be
accepted.
β Projects whose dimensions do not correspond to those of La Galerie du CACD will be
excluded;
β The artist is responsible for setting up/dismantling and transporting his/her exhibition to
and from the venue. The artist is responsible for the set-up/dismantling and
transportation of his/her exhibition. If he/she cannot be on site, the DACC will do its best to
set up the exhibition according to the artist’s instructions, but will not provide a
professional technician.
