Social Media with Salomé Theriault of Ampersand Social Co.
Social media is a branding opportunity that artists often struggle to engage with, and, since it’s so personalized, often their questions can’t be answered in group sessions or online courses. These 25-minute one-on-one sessions will cover everything the artist needs to know about social media, including how to develop a plan that works for the artist and feels true to who they are as a person and professional.
About Salomé Theriault
As the co-founder and CEO of Ampersand Social Co., founded in 2022, Salomé leads her team with a sharp eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, creating distinctive content that stays true to each brand’s essence. Having worked in both Montreal and Dongguan, China, Salomé brings global expertise to elevate your brand, ensuring every piece of content is strategic and impactful.
Before Ampersand, Salomé gained over 8 years of experience in the fashion industry with the ALDO Group, where she managed every aspect of brand creation and business management—strategy, trends, client relations, processes, team management, budgeting, sales, negotiations, operations, and supplier relations. She has worked with major retailers like Amazon, Nordstrom, Macy’s, DSW, TJMaxx, and Ross. Public Speaking with CJ Norris
Whether engaging on social media, online selling, or in-person sales (via fairs, performances, or retailing), it’s important to be able to speak to people about your work, and even more importantly to speak to groups of people about your work. CJ Norris will work with you to develop some strategies for how to come across as clear and confident based on your own concerns.
About CJ Norris
CJ Norris is a multi-disciplinary performing artist, creator, arts educator, and event host.
Highlights from his acting career include playing Angel in RENT (Ghostlight; Dalhousie Theatre Society); Jinx in Forever Plaid (Hazy Grape); LeFou in Beauty and the Beast, and Scuttle in The Little Mermaid (Capitol Theatre).
After spending his early adult years working semi-professionally in musical theatre, CJ began exploring theatre-adjacent artforms like stand-up comedy and drag, and found his own voice as a writer. His mentors have included the nationally celebrated Nikki Payne and New Brunswick’s own Marshall Button. CJ is a graduate of ArtsLink NB’s CATAPULT Arts Accelerator Program, where he received valuable training in arts entrepreneurship.
He has combined these passions with his expertise in theatre to offer a unique brand of live entertainment, creating the acclaimed dragsicals “Jingle Bell of the Ball” and “Flyin’ Solo!” (Fan Favourite at the 2021 Fundy Fringe Festival). He has written and directed several pieces for the Capitol Theatre Academy – most notably their 2023 community production “À la recherche du Heart of the Arts”, a dramatic comedy inspired by the Capitol’s 100-year history. CJ is also the creator and host of Stages of Art, a talk show that highlights the lives and work of artists from all disciplines.
CJ loves coaching budding performers, as an instructor at the Capitol Theatre Academy. He is also a freelance workshop facilitator and event host.
CJ is all about blurring the lines between art forms, and expanding the possibilities of live entertainment. His motivation as an artist is to bridge societal gaps, and create a positive impact on society.
