MAKERmatic

Custom Maker Kits Designed for You

In the spirit of our popular MAKER MAKER workshop series, we are excited to launch MAKERmatic, a personalized Maker Kit Quiz.

Since we cannot gather and share in making together, we’re packaging up small art experiences for you to do at home, in your dorm room with your favourite tunes, or on a virtual craft night with friends.

Whether you are looking for an end-of-term study break or a weekend project, we’ve got you covered. Are you a pen and paper person, or is needle and thread more your thing? Let us know and we’ll gather everything you’ll need to make something awesome.

How it works:

1. Take the quiz at: owensartgallery.outgrow.us/makermatic

2. Find your Maker Kit match

3. We will prepare a custom Maker Kit just for you and email you when it’s ready

4. Stop by the Owens for safe curbside pick-up

Maker Kits are for anyone looking for a creative outlet during these unprecedented days. Unfortunately, while we would love to, we are not able to send Maker Kits by mail. If you live outside Sackville, we encourage you to take the quiz and create your own kit. Feel free to be in touch if you would like tips on getting started or advice on finding supplies.

When you receive notification that your Maker Kit is ready, come by the Owens for safe curb-side pick-up. Kits can be picked-up any weekday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Please ring the doorbell at the entrance closest to the turning circle next to the Chapel and stand six feet back from the door. Community masks are mandatory for picking up kits.

Follow the hashtags #OwensArtGallery and #OwensMakerMatic to see what everyone else is making and to share your own creations.

Maker Kits are free and available until December 11.

The Owens Art Gallery acknowledges the generous support of all its funders, including Mount Allison University, the Canada Council for the Arts, the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, the Town of Sackville, and the Friends of the Owens.
