Sound Drown’s first full length release
Sound Drown is a pop-punk band proudly hailing from Saint John, New Brunswick. With the release of their EP, “Dino Droppings”, in 2017, Sound Drown have continued to hone their craft and have focused on writing and recording their new full-length record ‘Selfish Reasons’. Over the course of 2018-2020 they took some time off from playing live to focus on their families and continue writing and collaborating together. +++ info >

November 27th Hiphop veteran One8tea is back with his 5th project Ventilation 2. This project features guest appearances from Canadian talent such as Fresh IE (MB), Scribe Music (BC), Kent Carter (NB), SNT DVD (NB), Keonte Beals (NS), Jake (MB) and more. Une jeune serveuse en 1974 pense à une rencontre frivole mais qui laisse une marque dans son cœur. Nous sommes tantôt dans un « un diner » en Acadie, et tantôt à Buenos Aires, et sommes envoûté par ce texte riche de Gilles Bélanger et la musique de Pierre Flynn. SADIE’S POPCORN
Saint John-based musician Sadie released a new single “Popcorn” on Bandcamp + all streaming platforms through Saint John’s Monopolized Records. This grungy power ballad reflects on uncertainty, nostalgia, and distrust while conjuring familiar pleasures. You can catch Sadie performing her debut single, opening for indie-folk trio The Olympic Symphonium on November 20 in Fredericton at Charlotte Street Art Centre. +++ info >

The Charlotte Street Arts Centre is currently accepting applications for the Charlotte Glencross Scholarship for 2020!! The Charlotte Glencross Scholarship is now a $2000 scholarship offered every other year to an artist who is progressing in their professional development through classes, workshops, school or another professional endeavour. FMZ 2020 HOLIDAY DRUMMER RAFFLE
The FMZ 2020 Holiday Drummer Raffle was created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many Canadian drummers have lost work through cancelled tours, gigs, clinics, sessions and many other ways they earn their living. All net proceeds from the raffle will go directly to Canadian drummers who have been adversly affected by the pandemic. +++ info >

L’artiste country acadien Laurie LeBlanc lance son premier titre francophone en 2020. Juge-moi pas sera le prochain extrait à tourner dans les radios francophones au pays. Cette chanson fait partie de son 6e disque Couleurs qui fut en nomination au Gala de l’Adisq, au Gala country francophone du Canada, au Prix Musique NB et au Josie Music Awards à Tennessee. +++ info >
NOUVEAUTÉ DE CÉDRIC VIENO
Cedric Vieno revient en force avec «Laisse Tomber», le premier extrait de son quatrième album intitulé Maltempête. Ce dernier prend racine dans un village mi-fictif mi-réel où évolue des personnages un brin surréalistes. On y retrouve notamment le bûcheron qui travaille à la lampe frontale lors de ses nuits d’insomnie, rêvant de tuer la mort, la robuste drag queen du village qui travaille à l’usine de poisson ou encore Fifille, une dominatrice au volant d’une fusée-bécane qui enferme ses amants dans sa cave. +++ info >
