In August we hosted a gathering of local artists and arts organization as part of Tourism, Heritage and Culture‘s current initiative to collaborate on concrete ideas that will inform the renewal of the province’s cultural action plan.
Organized by Portfolio, a Moncton based strategic action company, the session held at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre on August 18 helped to facilitate valuable conversations among our peers in the arts sector. It was so nice for so many of us to have an excuse to come together and chat about shared issues and concerns and to learn what each other are up to creatively.
With this in mind, we have decided to keep these conversations going through a new quarterly initiative we’re calling the Community Arts Huddle. Open to all artists, arts organizations, galleries and other stakeholders in the arts community, our first get together will take place on Friday, October 10, 9-11 am.
