DESCRIPTION
GOING CRITICAL:
Going Critical is a multidisciplinary forum engaging critical discourse, exploring its role in the careers of artists, promoting cross-pollination between artistic practices, and fostering deeper engagement with critical dialogue for artists of all disciplines in the Maritimes. This year features:
- Keynote Talk by Wanda Nanibush, Indigenous and Canadian Art Curator of the AGO
- Keynote by Beaverbrook Gallery Critic-in-Residence Brane Kovič
- How to Pitch workshop by Dance Current editor Emma Dornan
- Panel discussions on the hows and whys of engaging your work in the national discourse
- Mulitple professional development workshops to connect new opportunities
- Idea Market session to establishing peer critique networks
