Galerie Sans Nom: Help out! Find cool things!

We’ll admit it : our storage space is a mess.
Keep an eye on our socials the week of October 1st. We’ll invite you to come help us clean out this mysterious space : wether it’s by sorting nails & screws or by taking home any of our giveaway items. Pay what you can or pay nothing at all : we just want it gone!

THIRD SHIFT NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

THIRD SHIFT is a growing project and labour of love. Each year we rely on our volunteers’ generosity to bring it all together. Volunteering is an amazing way to meet new people, participate behind the scenes and learn about the art projects in-depth. We’re now looking for reliable individuals to join the team. Contact our associate, Ashton at thirdshiftassociate@gmail.com for more information or to sign up!

Hot Docs-Canada wide Documentary Research Study

A Canada wide documentary audience research study that Hot Docs is conducting in conjunction with several partners. Learning from Documentary Audiences 2018 is a follow up to the study Hot Docs conducted in 2014 which focused on the viewing habits of documentary film audience members.

Intended to help inform filmmaker, distributor and exhibitor strategies for increasing documentary viewership, Learning from Documentary Audiences: A Market Research Study identified three market segments amongst Canadian documentary viewers, and offered insights into how documentaries are “discovered,” on which platforms they are viewed, and the willingness of audiences to pay for online documentary content.

CALL TO ARTISTS: ARTSLINK SHORT & SWEET SPEAKER SERIES

CALL TO ARTISTS: ARTSLINK SHORT & SWEET SPEAKER SERIES

ArtsLink is hosting an  artist’s talk night series right here in NB! Fun, short presentations where the speaker has 6 minutes and 40 seconds to give a talk accompanied by 20 slides (displayed for 20 seconds each). We’re looking for artists of every discipline to participate in one of these fun and energetic evenings. Participants are asked to prepare a presentation about their own work; they can share current work, upcoming work, and/or an older project.

We have so many fantastic members (225 and counting) doing so many fantastic things, we thought it would be great to bring folks together to find out what their peers are up to. Let’s bust everyone out of their studios to share our stories and perhaps a drink. ArtsLink will facilitate these Short & Sweet speaker nights, including tech support and setting up slideshows ahead of time. For our pilot round, there will be four events taking place across New Brunswick, one in Saint John, Fredericton, Sackville, and Woodstock.

We’re recruiting participants now!  If you think you’d like to present in one of these places, or would just like to find out more, please email intern@artslinknb.com with the subject heading “ArtsLink Speaker Series”.

DEADLINES:

Sackville: Deadline August 10 to present on the 23th.
