Former New Brunswick lieutenant governor Graydon Nicholas has been named to the Order of Canada, along with Ilkay Silk, Tim Borlase and Madeleine Delaney-LeBlanc. They are among the 113 new appointees announced Thursday by Governor General David Johnston.

The Order of Canada was established in 1967 to recognize outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.
