Join us at AX on Saturday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. for an artist talk with the five participating artists. Our initial exhibition launch had to be cancelled due to inclement weather, so we will also have the launch on this day prior to the talk.
AX is pleased to welcome “Pinned” by Metal Six to the gallery. “Pinned” features the work of metalsmiths Brigitte Clavette, Kristyn Cooper, Kristen Bishop, Audrée St-Amour, and Erica Stanley, members of the women’s metal collective, Metal Six.
Metal Six’s new body of work is centred around the theme of pins, brooches, and fasteners. These objects may be wearable, as in traditional brooches, kilt pins, penannular, cloak pins, hat pins, or they may be instruments to pin things down or to the wall.
