Gallery 78 Hosts Popular Holiday Event: Nutcracker Tea on Sunday November 20 and a New Event: Nutcracker High Tea on Sunday November 13
November is a “Nutcracker Month” celebration at Gallery 78! In honour of 10 years of Dance Fredericton’s Nutcracker ballet and Gallery 78’s 40th anniversary, enjoy Nutcracker themed activities for adults and children as well as a beautiful Nutcracker inspired exhibition of paintings, prints, ceramics, and jewellery.
The Nutcracker Tea, a mini version of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s perennial tea will be held on Sunday November 20 at Gallery 78, with a special focus on ballet. An event for the whole family, the Nutcracker Tea includes tasty treats, dance performances, and ballet inspired crafts in a magical décor. Funds raised support the Molly Lamb Bobak Children’s Education Program at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. There are two “sittings” – 12 to 2 pm and 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Tickets are $15 each and are available at Gallery 78, 796 Queen Street. Tickets are limited and going quickly, so get yours soon.
For an elegant adult tea, come to Gallery 78 for a “Nutcracker High Tea” on Sunday, November 13 from 3–5 pm. A fundraiser for Hospice House in Fredericton, the celebration features all the niceties of a high tea – finger sandwiches, scones, cream, marmalade, elegant cookies and of course tea service. There will be music, ballet dancer servers and delightful décor. Tickets are $50 with the eligible tax receipt portion to be issued after the event. Only a few tickets remain and are available at Gallery 78, 796 Queen Street.
