ARTIST TALK (in French): Wednesday, September 29 at noon, room 001-B of the Fine Arts Building

An artist-talk by Mimi Stockalnd will be presented (in French) in the Salle Neil-Michaud, room 001-B of the Fine Arts Building (Beaux-arts) on the Université de Moncton campus. Mimi Stockland is a St. John’s-based visual artist whose work spans textiles, sculpture, printmaking and installation. She obtained a BFA from Concordia University in 2009 and graduated from the Centre des Textiles Contemporains de Montréal (CTCM) in 2015, after which she established a home and studio practice in Newfoundland. Her work ranges through topics like food, internet humour, cartoons, fashion, camping, tourism, textiles, and contemporary life with a surrealist and absurdist eye.
