Explore the Fort Folly Medicine Trail

Join Elder Gilbert Sewell of the Pabineau First Nation and Nicole Dube, Mik’maq Cultural Coordinator at Fort Folly First Nation, for a special guided walk of Amlamgog Nnue’gati M’pisun Awti’j, the Fort Folly Medicine Trail.

Organized in conjunction with the current exhibition, carrie allison: wâhkôhtowin, this walk will highlight the traditional uses and cultural importance of medicinal plants found in Mi’kma’ki, including wood sorrel, bunchberry, yellow birch, goldthread, and jewel-weed.

The walk begins at 6:00 pm, leaving from the Band Office at 23 Bernard Trail. The trail is 3.5 km long and the walk will be approximately two hours.
