Etching and printing with recycled Tetra Pak

May 16, 2021 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

CARFAC Maritimes is pleased to invite you to its 4th Creative Techniques webinar “Etching and printing with recycled Tetra Pak” with Carole Deveau on Sunday, May 16th, 2021 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Please note that this webinar will be given in french. Free for CARFAC members, $25 for non members.

Originally from Moncton, NB, Carole Deveau holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with distinction (2000) from the Université de Moncton. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, working mainly in relief and silkscreen at the Imago print shop. She lived in Japan from 2005 to 2010 and draws on her experiences to combine her passion for Japan and printmaking. She often explores the possibility of incorporating the public into her creative process by offering them the chance to interact with her work.

In printmaking, the lack of a studio is often a challenge to overcome. During this workshop, we will explore an intaglio printing technique that can be done at home, with available supplies

This technique is often worked with copper plates, but we will work on recycled cardboard boxes (tetra pak). This material is easy to engrave with a dry point (or even a nail!), and with oil paint, we will print them with a caster instead of a press!

A detailed list of materials will be sent to those who register for the webinar.

To register and receive the list.
