Music Publishers Canada is now accepting applications for our 2023 Women in the Studio National Accelerator. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the program. We are proud to offer a series of curated production-related opportunities, workshops, and networking experiences to producer/songwriters from across the country.
We encourage applications from individuals who have been historically underrepresented in these spaces and who remain so today, including women, gender fluid, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people.
Sessions and workshops will take place both virtually and in person. The in-person residency will include a comprehensive program of development and networking opportunities in Toronto from June 5-11, 2023.
To qualify, candidates must be:
- A mid-tier working producer/songwriter who has produced for others
- Able to provide streaming links to 3 examples of works they have produced and co-written on
- A Canadian resident (and able to provide proof of residency)
- Available to be in Toronto in-person from June 5-11, 2023
Applications will be accepted online until Wednesday, March 15, 2023, and can be submitted either by the candidate directly, or on behalf of a candidate (as long as you’ve confirmed that the candidate is interested and able to participate in all aspects of the program).
