Artistic orientation 2023-2024

Amplitude. To expand ? Overflow ? Contain more ?

Amplitude is to encourage the overflow, the generous, the abundant. To feel the vibrant presence of a work, whether material or immaterial. Amplitude can consist of a diversity of strategies, sensibilities, subjects, choices, research, a complexity of assemblies, an overdose of gestures, actions, up-cycling, volumes, textures, shapes, mediums, and compositions.

A new era for Regart, with new programming in new spaces.  We are looking for proposals developed specifically to inhabit the space of the gallery. It is also possible to present works and projects already in circulation but adapted to the specificities of our space.

Regart, centre d’artistes en art actuel, was established in Lévis in 1986, Regart, a contemporary artist’ center, ensures the dynamic presence of the visual arts for the public of Chaudière-Appalaches and Québec City.

In the gallery and in public space, the Regart program highlights works that reflect the hybridization and experiment in which artistic quality and the importance of theory are shown off. The Centre favours innovative projects, research and exchanges aiming at being an open venue, a field of possibilities in which discussion with artists and mediation with the public are fundamental.

Gallery applications must be submitted before midnight on May 22, 2022. Email and paper applications won’t be accepted, only via the form at this link.
