Canadian Folk Music Awards Submissions 🪕

Canadian artists who have released recordings between May 1, 2021 – July 15, 2022 are eligible to submit to the 2023 CFMAs.

Before Submitting, please review the following:  Submission Eligibility  &  Categories & Criteria

Required Materials for all Album Categories (all except Single of the Year & Young Performer(s)):

• Proof of Album Recording (valid Internet purchase link OR document in the form of a manufacturing invoice or a letter from the artist/group record label or distributor)
• Proof of Album Release date (if release month and year is not evident from the above)
• Artist Photo (JPG, Colour, Medium Resolution, Max 2MB)
• Album Cover (JPG, Colour, Medium Resolution, Max 2MB)
• Sample mp3 (representative song from the album to be used in the event of a nomination)
• For Songwriting Categories only: PDF of lyrics to all songs from the specified songwriter(s)
• Full Album (this upload will take place after the form submission)

Required Materials for Single of the Year:

• Valid internet purchase link for the single track
• Proof of Single Release date (if the release month and year is not evident from the above)
• Proof of Single Release (announcement, review, some other type of documentation (including radio charts, live streaming service, or other streaming report), letter from a record label or distributor, or some reasonable documentation to support the release.
• Artist Photo (JPG, Colour, Medium Resolution, Max 2MB)
• Single Artwork (related to the single or album where it appears) (JPG, Medium Resolution, Colour, Max 2MB)
• Single mp3

Required Materials for Young Performer(s) of the Year:

• Artist Photo (JPG, Colour, Medium Resolution, Max 2MB)
• Album Artwork (any artwork related to the recordings is sufficient) (JPG, Medium Resolution, Colour, Max 2MB)
• Sample mp3 (representative song to be used in the event of a nomination)

3-Step Submission Process:
Step 1 : Complete the submission form.
Step 2 : Submit your payment via PayPal (you will be automatically redirected to the PayPal payment page after Step 1. You do not have to have a PayPal account).
Step 3 : Upload your Album (after you complete Step 1, you will receive an email with instructions on how to upload your album. This step is not applicable for Single of the Year or submitters to only Young Performer(s) of the Year).
