Saint John, NB (Friday, May 28, 2021) – The team responsible for AREA 506, New Brunswick’s premiere celebration of local music, culture and goods, today announced the lineup for their Waterfront Concert Series beginning July 16, 2021. 

“We couldn’t be happier about the breadth of talent and musical diversity that we’re planning to bring to Saint John this summer” says Ray Gracewood, AREA 506 Founder and Chairperson.  “AREA 506 has always been about celebrating our region, so being able to curate a schedule as strong as this while featuring 100% Atlantic Canadian performers really speaks to the incredible talent that exists right here at home”. 

The lineup and schedule for this year’s event will be as follows: 

July 16 – James Mullinger, Nikki Payne & Grand Theft Bus
July 17 – Ria Mae, Jenn Grant & Jessica Rhaye and the Ramshackle Parade
July 23 – Jimmy Rankin & Tomato/Tomato
July 24 – Classified with Special Guest David Myles & Wolf Castle
July 30 – Alan Doyle & Mike Biggar
July 31 – Matt Andersen & Jason Ogden
Aug 6 – Joel Plaskett Emergency & The Hypochondriacs
Aug 7 – Bahamas & Kylie Fox
August 13 – Measha Brueggergosman & Apryll Aileen
August 14 – Matt Mays, Jamie Comeau & the Crooked Teeth & The Backstays

Gates are scheduled to open at 5pm for each event to encourage staggered entry.   Opening acts will begin at 8pm, with headline acts scheduled to hit the stage at 930pm. All shows are open to attendees of all-ages and will be fully accessible. 

The Waterfront Concert Series will take place on Long Wharf, a marquee location on the Saint John Waterfront from July 16 to August 14, 2021.  Six and ten person pods will be available for purchase beginning Thursday, June 3.   Ten person pods are priced at $69 regular and $99 VIP based on location, per ticket.  Six person pods are priced at $69/ticket.  Easily select your pod location on the map using the online ticketing system when you purchase beginning Thursday, June 3.

With a focus on eliminating crowds and lineups, cashless bar & snack service will be available exclusively through an online ordering tool, with direct-to-pod delivery courtesy of United Way of Greater Saint John.  Products will be curated with a focus on New Brunswick made items, and all tips received by the volunteer bar staff will go to support United Way programs in our region.
